Members of the TPJC Library Society are also known as Student Librarians (SLs). They are a group of dedicated individuals who take pride in what they do. SLs support the staff of the Media Resources Library (MRL) in managing its operations and making it conducive for the customers of the library, namely the teachers and fellow students of TPJC.
In the TPJC MRL, SLs do periodic displays to highlight the resources available. Every year, SLs embark on Learning Journeys to the library of an Institution of Higher Learning and do a VIA project with a neighbourhood preschool. A mobile library is also set-up near the canteen in Term 2 to facilitate the borrowing of MRL resources.

Mr. S Nalluraj
Members of the Library Society EXCO ran student-led workshops to equip junior Student Librarians with the skills to tackle the tasks normally assigned to them. The junior Student Librarians acquired Library Management Skills and were also given training on how to do storytelling to little children. With the knowledge acquired, they conducted a Buddy Reading VIA Program at the PCF Sparkletots Tampines North, a preschool in the neighbourhood of our college. The aim of this program was to promote the young children’s interest in reading. Both senior and junior members of the Library Society embarked on a Learning Journey to SMU’s Li Ka Shing Library to learn how it operates and the wide range of resources available there.
