Choir

Tampines Junior College Choir is more than just a choral group, it is a family. Members of the choir are united by their passion for choral music excellence, and are devoted to crafting choral music through relentless practices. TPJChoir regularly performs within College at events such as Open House, CCA Exhibition and College Day.

Under the tutelage of alumna and resident conductor Ms Angela Lee Sze Ling, the Choir has been thriving admirably. Ms Lee first took the Choir in 2015 January, and led TPJChoir to clinch the Certificate of Distinction at SYF Arts Presentation that same year. The choristers displayed diligence and perseverance in the weeks leading up to the event, putting in long hours of intense training each week as a united Choir.

2016 marked a momentous journey filled with challenges, success, joyous moments and laughter.  TPJChoir performed at both shows at Panorama 2016, resonating the Victoria Theatre with their charms and humour of regional and local folk songs. The Choir also had took the opportunity to collaborate with the Very Special Outstanding Performers from the Institute of Mental Health to present a few songs together. At the end of each show, TPJChoir proudly led the Performing Arts groups and the audience in singing the College Song. This was a day of extraordinary camaraderie and College spirit.

One of the most memorable events in every choristers’ journey is the JC2 Farewell. Graduating JC2 members give speeches filled with inspiring and heart-warming messages, bringing the members to tears of joy and gratitude. Words cannot express the overflowing emotions that fill each chorister as they officially become alumni of TPJChoir. Looking back, they see that all their sacrifices have been well worth it, and they leave with cherished memories close to their hearts. We welcome you to join us and experience this magic first hand!
