China Studies in English (CSE)
H1 China Studies in English (CSE) (8628)
The aim of H1 China Studies in English (CSE) is to deepen students’ appreciation of contemporary developments in China. A deeper understanding of China will allow students to be future-ready for the fast-changing and interconnected world. The H1 CSE syllabus requires students to examine two key issues:
- State-society relations in China
- China as a global power
Through these two issues, students will be able to discuss and deliberate on these two questions:
- How stable is China’s socio-political system? and
- How does the rise of China impact its external relations?
H1 CSE candidates will sit for a single written examination paper, comprising two sections:
